Is my textbook in the Library?

Required textbooks for courses are not generally purchased by the OCC Campus Libraries.

However, your text may be in Course Reserves, and the library often carries earlier editions that instructors may approve. You can search the library catalog to check for availability.  Please be proactive and let your instructor or librarian know that you would appreciate a copy of the class text in Course Reserves.

  1. That's a total crock given how much text books charge. There should at least be a reference copy.

  2. I think that the libraries should invest on purchasing 1 copy of a limited amount of textbooks

  3. It's a scam preying on kids using their parents money. Well perhaps not a scam, but a monopoly , especially on books ONLY published by OCC.

  4. Complaining about it doesn't change the fact that you have to pay for the book. At any other school you have to pay for it. This isn't high school...get over it.

  5. This is not about not paying at all but it's about paying too much for old books with new covers.
