Celebrate Black History Month Through Reading

OCC Libraries in partnership with The OCC Diversity Committees are proud to participate in the 27th National African American Read-In on February 3-9, 2016.

OCC Students and employees are invited to hear readings or read a brief passage aloud from books written by African American authors. The goal of this event is to celebrate Black History Month and bring awareness about the contributions African Americans have made to the literary world.

Free Library Success Seminars starting in January

More Library Success Seminars coming up in January & February. These sessions cover a variety of topics related to library research. Ask your instructor about extra credit for attending any of these seminars. See the Library Instruction page for more information about future seminars at all OCC campuses.

Auburn Hills Campus

Is My Textbook Available in the Library?

As a general rule, the OCC Libraries do not own copies of your current textbooks. However, your instructor may have placed a copy on Course Reserve in your campus library for use on a limited basis. Check the Library Catalog to see if your textbook might be available. See the full Library Textbook Policy or more information.

Also, a new feature in the online OCC Raiders Store indicates if your textbook is available through the OCC Libraries. This is a pilot project so there may not be many results available.  Click the image at the right to see where to find the Library note in the Raiders Store. If the note does not display in the Raiders Store results, you might still check the Library Catalog or ask a Librarian to be sure.

Martin Luther King, Jr.: Information and Resources at the OCC LIbraries

The 2016 Martin Luther King, Jr. Convocation will take place on Friday,  January 15th at the Orchard Ridge Campus Smith Theater from 10 am-12:00pm.  Admission is free, see the flyer for more information.
